Campsites: 96 RV and tent sites, all with 20 or 30 amp electrical service, large grassy sites, with enough room for you, your sleeping apparatus, a boat , a picnic table and a fire ring.
Tent sites: come with 20 amp electricity , a picnic table and a fire ring. Electric and water sites: In case you want to pitch a tent or have a small camper, and have some water on site! If you need to run your air conditioner, refrigerator, hair dryer, microwave & stove all at the same darn time - well you will be watching us reset the breakers all day. If you can switch over to propane and use your air when ya really really need it, you should be fine - well except for running everything at once!Pull through sites: Larger pull through sites, most with 30 amp service (call us ahead of time so we can set you up!) and water. We have a dump station and honey wagon.
Kamper kabins: Hand built by Wilbur himself! Each Kabin will sleep up to six guests (if you really like each other) Includes a small table, 2 chairs , coffee pot, a small heater, ceiling fan, quaint front porch with two comfy chairs, on-site water, room for your boat! Pets allowed as long as you don't tie them to the hydrangeas! (pet deposit may apply)
Camp kitchen: Local products are cooked up by our awesome cooks! Made to order breakfast and lunch, open 7am until 2ish. Our menu changes based on what we think sounds good, and what we can find locally. This summer featuring Crescent Bakery, Rice Farm, Cream cup Dairy, Northwood soda and Leelenau Roasters Coffee!
Camp store: More local stuff! Snacks, and stuff you need, toothbrushes, cool t-shirts, bling... Stuff we stock includes, Esch road, Sleeping bear Farms, Brownwood farms, Mooville Dairy, Cream Cup Dairy and our way cool logo stuff! Open 7am to 9pm
Kayak and bike rentals: Yep, its a peddle paddle program, show up at the camp store, and get a bike, then take that bike to get your kayak! Then take that kayak down the wonderful Betsie River and get that bike back! Then come back to the camp store and buy a hilltop ice cream, you deserve it.
You probably want to know about the camp
Betsie River Campsite is located right inside the Betsie River State Game Refuge. It is a 100 site campground in the heart of everything northern Michigan has to offer We are less than 2 miles from the beach, a great base-camp for all your awesome local fun!
Frankfort, and the charming city of Elberta, 2 or 3 miles out from the southern most edge of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. 100 yards from the Betsie River (through the woods). About a 45 minute trip to the cherry capital, 24 miles to the Sleeping Bear visitors center and 13 miles from the Point Betsie Lighthouse, the Platte river, all sorts of stuff. What we are trying to say is that we are in the thick of it, and we have a spot here just for you!
If you like to fish, this is the place to be, easy access to the marina, room for boats on the sites, a fish cleaning station, nice warm showers, and a wonderful camp store that makes some mighty fine French toast! Our sites have room for about 5 folks, their camper or tent, or RV, a boat, a dog or two and a few kiddos :D We are not a big concrete pad RV park, we are a nice small family owned campsite, if you are looking for a discotheque from the late 70's we aren't your place.

Kabin rentals require a 50 dollar non refundable deposit * Sorry no refunds after arrival, credit for unused nights * No fireworks * No group sites although sites can be reserved side by side * 5 people per site, $8 per person per night for extra folks * $5 per person per night for 16 years and younger * Babies free! * Leashed pets allowed * Go slowly through the campground, there are kids about! * We really can't accommodate the gigantic land raft RV's, we would be happy to recommend several nearby camps * Please do not bring non local firewood, we provide local firewood! * No check in after 10 pm
